“All the Fitos” brings together four versions of Fito Páez coexisting within the same setting, creating a striking visual contrast between different stages of the artist’s life and career: the Fito of 1963, the Fito of the Circo Beat era, the Fito of 2014 and present-day Fito. Throughout the short film, the current-day Fito reflects on and describes the other versions of himself.

According to Sony Music Latin, the audiovisual piece unfolds through layered and overlapping conversations among the four characters, presenting a kind of Páez multiverse in an intimate, circular dialogue. Set entirely in a dimly lit living room at night, the film shows the different Fitos seated across sofas while the camera gradually reveals each one, creating a surreal and introspective atmosphere.

The musical concept behind the project is reflected in the album’s title, Shine, and in the story behind its creation. The record symbolizes the rebirth of Fito Páez following the domestic accident he suffered in September 2024, which led to surgery for nine fractured ribs and forced him to suspend concerts, recordings and all professional activities.

In the short film, present-day Fito explains to the other versions of himself the meaning behind the album’s title and the emotional journey that inspired it. The other Fitos respond almost like a Lynchian echo, repeatedly chanting “Shine, shine, shine” in an endless loop.

The narrative abandons a linear sense of time and instead embraces a circular structure, allowing the current Fito to confront and converse with earlier versions of himself. Through these reflective exchanges, he revisits key moments of his life, draws conclusions about his personal journey and shares with his younger selves the words he wishes he could have heard in the past.

Ultimately, the dialogue between the different Fitos arrives at a single realization: music is the enduring force that connects them all across time.
