GUAYNABO — Islandwide Group has opened a new automated distribution center in Guaynabo, expanding its logistics capabilities and strengthening next-day delivery services across Puerto Rico.

The facility, located at Rexco Industrial Park, marks another milestone for the company as it celebrates 57 years of operations on the island. The new center supports Islandwide’s third-party logistics (3PL) services, including warehousing, inventory management, order fulfillment, e-commerce and distribution.

“This robust infrastructure enhances our Next Day delivery service throughout Puerto Rico and, through our strategic partnership with UPS, expands commercial opportunities for local businesses in the U.S. market,” said Pedro Rosaly, president and CEO of Islandwide Group.

The distribution hub features an automated conveyor system that operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, along with proprietary warehouse management technology, climate-controlled storage, heavy cargo facilities and fulfillment solutions for businesses.

The complex also houses ENGINE, a new corporate training center focused on workforce development and business strategy.

Islandwide highlighted its daily logistics routes to Vieques and Culebra, ensuring consistent delivery of packages, commercial mail and essential goods to residents and businesses on both islands.

The company also continues to support Puerto Rico’s growing business community through its iWide mobile platform, which allows small and medium-sized businesses to request quotes, schedule pickups and track local and international shipments.

The opening ceremony was attended by government and business leaders, including officials from the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO) and the Department of Economic Development and Commerce (DDEC).
